Our Founder

Hi, I’m Sally Curson, the founder of Face Matters Skincare. I grew up with a love of all things beauty….. Spending blissful Saturdays as a young teen in Boots dabbling with potions and putting in a special order at my local newsagents for Vogue magazine to absorb all the latest beauty trends.
I graduated from beauty college with distinctions and went on to train with luxury skincare and beauty brands Thalgo and Aveda, leaning into Ayurvedic practices and botanical formulations. My love of holistic therapies was ignited!
Later in my life I experienced severe trauma and my skin flared up with acute rosacea. I formulated my first product—now known as the Face Food Serum—to treat my own rosacea. It worked beautifully and I began to use the product on my clients during their facials. Soon enough clients were asking to buy the serum blend for themselves and Face Matters Skincare was born!

After 30 years of practice as a facialist, I still see clients weekly at my Studio based in Alresford, Hampshire. Having the opportunity to treat clients 1:1 keeps my skills honed and my connection to what I do strong.

Whether you see me or a member of my team for a facial, or you use Face Matters Skincare at home, I hope that you feel comforted, nourished and empowered by the experience.
