The Face Matters Story
I created Face Matters in 2012, drawing on over 35 years as a professional facialist. My passion has always been to empower women ~ not just with radiant skin, but with the confidence and knowledge to take charge of their own wellbeing. I believe in stripping away the noise and nonsense in the beauty industry, championing effective skincare, facial massage, and skin fitness as essentials ~ not luxuries.
Face Matters was born not from trend, but from trauma. After a long period of personal hardship ~ abuse, homelessness with two young children, and the sudden loss of my daughter and both parents ~ my body and skin reached breaking point. I developed severe rosacea, so visible that I felt embarrassed to practice as a facialist. Doctors offered long-term steroids and antibiotics, but I wanted a natural alternative. I began researching ingredients with calming, healing properties, and that’s where the journey began.
