Our Founder

Hi, I’m Sally Curson — founder of Face Matters Skincare.

My love of beauty began early. As a teenager, I spent blissful Saturdays in Boots exploring lotions and potions, and even persuaded my local newsagent to put aside each issue of Vogue so I could absorb the latest beauty trends.

After graduating from beauty college with distinctions, I trained with luxury brands Thalgo and Aveda, where I was introduced to Ayurvedic practices and the power of botanical formulations. It was here that my lifelong passion for holistic therapies truly ignited.

Years later, during a period of deep personal trauma, my skin flared with acute rosacea. Determined to heal it naturally, I formulated what became my very first product ~ now known as the Face Food Serum. The results were transformative. I began using it on my facial clients, and before long they were asking to take the blend home for themselves.

From that moment, Face Matters Skincare was born ~ a collection of 100% natural, spa-quality products designed to restore skin, support wellbeing, and empower women to feel naturally confident.

After more than 35 years of practice as a facialist, I still welcome clients regularly to my studio in Hampshire. Treating clients 1:1 keeps my skills honed and my connection to this work alive and meaningful.

Whether you visit me personally or use Face Matters Skincare at home, my hope is that you feel comforted, nourished, and empowered by the experience.
